Firstly, let me say that this is a LARGE ring. I was not expecting that at all. The head is just smaller than a US quarter. The band is not too thick on the palm side, but it is top heavy and stands away from the finger with a hollowed out section on the top of the finger. As for quality, we shouldn't expect heirloom quality craftsmanship for this price. That said, it is hollow under the signet, so if you wash your hands with it on, water gets inside (I take it off after and dry the ring after my hands). The black inlay on the top is nice quality and the details are not obscured at all. The side markers are not the same material, though. It is almost like black nail-polish painted inside them, and it peels and flakes regularly. If I can get all the black out of the sides, maybe it will be better. I ordered the same size as my wedding band to wear on my right hand, and it is massively too large, even if I test it on my wedding band-finger. I ended up wearing it on my left index finger (so it doesn't clank against my wedding band when I wash my hands), and since I don't wear it all the time, it's kind of nice to have something there. If you plan to wear it on your ring finger, order smaller size (but I can't tell you what size would be good!!! Be warned!) Shipped quickly and arrived safely in a nice stiff paper box, easily presentable as a gift.
